Jimmy Willing's HELL IS A CABARET is a kaleidoscope of puppetry, circus, poetry and music. Bent, kooky and definitely left of centre. Here are the acts that graced the Hell Is A Cabaret stage at the last Woodford festival

Christa is Queen of the costume change. Merely blink and she has re-frocked, re-wigged, wrapped herself in rope, stuck eyes on her mons Venus, ridden in on roller skates, a motorbike, in a nurse's uniform. It's endless and she does it with the breathtaking inventiveness and enthusiasm of a four year old at the costume box. Mandy Nolan, Seven magazine, Byron Bay, 2003.

Christa's first job in show business came when she landed the part of Willy Wonka in her year 5 school play -It was a life changing moment that left her with an unquenchable lust to be onstage. She has starred in shows such as 'Beer Drinking Woman's 'Sleepless Beauty' (with a season at both The Sydney Opera House and The Adelaide Festival). She is also known for her knockout shows with Machine Gun Fellatio as K.K Juggy, The Mother**ker on a Motorcycle. She has gargled her way through several Edinburgh Festivals whilst singing Edith Piaf and has performed throughout Europe, South East Asia and China. Christa's official site

Backing Christa on keys is Mike Lira, the pork pied double bass player of Monsieur Camembert fame. Michael has a love of both Circus music and Death Metal making him one very weird fish indeed. Founding member of the Wild and wonderful Vicious Hairy Mary, Michael has now moved on to a new lovechild Darth Vegas, Mike recently won an Aria award for his quirky TV Theme for the ABC's Einstein factor.

This has to be seen and heard to be believed. Greg Sheehan's orchestra pit is a child's toy box and just how he gets those sounds out of kids toys no-one knows. THE PORNO PUPPETS OF PRAGUE

Puppeteer Lenka Muchova escaped her homeland through the iron curtain whilst still under Russian occupation. Coming from a long line of puppeteers she brought to Australia centuries of Czech tradition and marionette know-how. This is her Adults Only Bohemian Erotic Fairytale following the trail of Katchka The Black Hole of Prague as she tries to find sexual fulfilment. JIMMY WILLING & THE REAL GONE HICK-UPS

, house band for the Cabaret, end the night with an all out country barn dance. Singing songs about one-horse towns, rodeo clowns and girls with holes in their stockings, The Hick-Ups breathe new life into antiquated styles such as country swing, the heel & toe polka and the cowboy waltz. Using a foundation of double bass, stripped down drums, acoustic guitar and harmonica, The Hick-Ups are a cranking little country folk band. Add Dan Rumour of the Cruel Sea with his distinctive electric guitar sound and let Jimmy Willing, the long tall story teller loose to weave his tales and you have show time!
