DRUMS
Born Nineteen Seventy Seven, The year of the HZ Holden Kingswood.
Just like the HZ all Clancy needs is a V8, a tank full, fat tyres and
he's pig bait. His daddy was a Vietnam Vet and his mother was a Penthouse
Pet. So goes the story of Clancy Robinson who has backed Jimmy Willing
now for some thirteen years . At age fifteen he was handed the sticks
and given his first drum lessons by jazz legend Louis Burdett. Soon after
he was recruited off the streets of Nimbin and into the ranks of Jimmy's
rock 'n' roll band Ragadoll. Jimmy was personally thanked by Nimbin's
police sergeant for taking one of his biggest worries off the street.
More lessons soon followed from maestro percussionist Greg Sheehan and
with such a solid start he has never looked back .
He has played everything from Country to Death Metal , Cabaret to Tribal
Percussion. Some of the many other acts he has been in are Klang, Dr Seuss'
Signature, The Mutation Par lour and most recently The Ride.
With his John Deer tractor hat and his hide full off tatts the show just
wouldn't be the same without him on the beat.
