Six String Guitar

Born Nineteen Seventy Three,The year of HQ Holden Kingswood.

Like the HQ David takes to the road like a song. Born onto the western plains of New South Wales to an unassuming post master and his pretty young wife. David most probably would never have ended up in any band let alone one like The Real Gone Hick-Ups were it not for a strange twist of fate.

David began guitar lessons under a Catholic nun with a love of old folk songs, cautionary tales and murder ballads. Sitting the boy on her lap she showed David how to form up the chords with his little fingers and to remember the minute details of how the crimes were committed and where the bodies were dumped.

It was to be a fitting apprenticeship for The Real Gone Hick-Ups.

David also writes songs, some of which can be found on his 2005 album 'Listener', available through MGM distribution.
